Description:Join our team as a Quality Engineer, responsible for ensuring the quality of our products and processes. Our team plays a crucial role in developing and implementing quality systems, procedures, and standards to drive continuous improvement and customer satisfaction. This role will assist specific MFC manufacturing sites for extended periods of time prior & during the 1LMX transition.
What You Will Be Doing
As a Quality Engineer, your focus will be on driving quality excellence, and your responsibilities will include:
• Analyzing and improving inspection and testing processes to guarantee high-quality products
• Working closely with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve process issues, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement
• Designing and analyzing inspection and testing processes, mechanisms, and equipment
• Reviewing documentation related to internal and external manufacturing processes to ensure quality products
• Analyzing quality data to support supplier and production teams
• Leading corrective action meetings, identifying trends, and assisting in problem resolution
• Participating in material review boards and failure review boards to disposition non-conforming hardware and identify root causes
• Performing assessments and audits to ensure compliance with specifications, engineering drawings, procedures, and industry standards
• Evaluating design assurance activities and production process methodology to prevent impacts to production velocity and quality
• Interfacing with customers, suppliers, and program personnel on quality-related issues
• Utilizing lean initiatives to reduce waste and maintain continuous improvement
• Making final decisions on product acceptability

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.
Basic Qualifications:
• Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) degree at the Bachelor level or above
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance (if required)
• Knowledge of quality management systems and standards (e.g. ISO 9001, AS 9100)
• Experience processing material review boards and dispositioning non-conformances
• Ability to interpret drawings and specifications for development of quality standards, methods, work instructions, and procedures
• Experience doing root cause analysis and corrective action planning
• Knowledge/experience evaluating risk when establishing new processes, automated controls, and improvements
• Demonstrated understanding of audit techniques
• Knowledge of configuration management and control processes
• Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office applications
• Demonstrated presentation skills
Desired Skills:
• Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and Enterprise/Manufacturing Resource Planning Systems (ERP/MRP)
• Experience implementing automated processes and robotic technologies
• Ability to design and analyze inspection and testing processes, mechanisms, and equipment
• Special process engineering experience
• Ability to interpret technical data and specifications
• Lean / Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification
• ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) and/or Certified Quality Improvement Associate (CQIA)
• Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and quality management software
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong knowledge of industry-recognized quality systems and regulations

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
